I just realized I hadn't posted "finished" pictures of Morte the Zombellino (aka The Death of Zibies). So, to remedy that oversight, here he is! :)

Astrid's "Zombellino"
I've been lazing it up at Noelle's house for the past week (I came up for the dog show, then just kinda never left! lol). I feel rather guilty that I haven't been doing some things I really should be doing at home, but while I've been here I've at least gotten something almost finished! I'm giving my friend Astrid a zibellino for her wedding. She loves skulls, so her zibie is going to be a bit different than my usual "flavor" of zibie:
It's not actually finished yet, but it gives you a good idea of what he's going to look like! Next I'm going to use an antiquing medium to give the clay a bone-like appearance, then I need to add the crystals to the eye sockets, file the teeth smooth, then attach the whole shebang to the pelt (a champagne/silver mink). After that I'll just need to assemble and attach the collar and he'll be done! :)
